Inspired by dominatrix “wipe-clean” outerwear and H.R. Giger’s bio-mechanical fertility artwork including the set design for Alien (1979). Exploring Alien’s themes of bodily autonomy The Giger Coat represents the overbearing masculine presence in legal discussions surrounding female reproductive rights with hand-embellished leaking pearls symbolising the irrepressible feminine resistance defiantly seeping out.

The Giger coat comprises of a cropped jacket and full-length waistcoat allowing it to be worn separately or buttoned together to form the full coat.
