Design and Construction by Arianna Stapley

Inspired by Sigourney Weaver’s iconic tank top and pants costume from Alien (1979) and the set design of the ‘USCSS Nostromo’ spaceship. Pleated chiffon hand bound with bridal buttons and cutout detailing inspired by female reproductive organs. The fabrication choice in this garment also references the slatted blinds of Cynthia Payne’s home and brothel.

Made from pleated chiffon with hand-sewn bound edges.
