Design and Construction by Arianna Stapley.

Inspired by Tish Murtha’s photo series ‘London by Night’ documenting sex workers in 1980’s Soho. Print and fabrication inspired by Cynthia Payne’s house and brothel, with seam detailing inspired by vintage lingerie. The interweaving, tube-like straps of the bra aim to evoke the aesthetic of both the costume and creature design from Alien (1979). Paired with light nude mesh gloves embellished with hand-made ‘leaking’ pearls.

Made from cotton upholstery velvet and custom-printed duchess satin.
